Day 1: Durban

​

Overnight Stay: Durban

Day 2: Durban – Hluhluwe

 

We wind into an idyllic 5 Star Big Five Safari experience by heading toward the Northern KwaZulu Natal area, Hluhluwe. Far removed from the stresses of life, past the sheer scenic beauty, rolling sugar canes and unending greenery, approximately 3 hours away, situated in the forestry of the Imfolozi Game Reserve, we will arrive at our 5 Star Private Game Reserve where you can relax on your expansive deck to experience the African bushland. Enjoy the warm afternoons on the circular daybed in your thatched outdoor sala or cool down by taking a dip in the pool.

Listen to the sounds of the motherland during a guided walk through the bush whilst learning to identify the spoor and scat of different animals on this truly staggering experience. Later visit a traditional Zulu homestead and experience spellbinding Zulu singing and war dancing dating back centuries ago.

Day 4: Hluhluwe

 

Upon your return from your morning drive, expect a full hearty breakfast to be served in on camp. Relax at the camp’s deluxe lounge and watch the bird and animal life in the riverine forest. Find respite from the heat in the swimming pool while watching animals drink from the watering holes in the river bed below. Spoil yourself to some spa treatment.

 

Enjoy a mid-afternoon lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Indulge in an exclusive gourmet three-course dinner is prepared by the Chef, taking your taste buds into an African haven.

 

Day 5: Hluhluwe – Empangeni – Richards- Bay – Nseleni – Richards - Bay

 

It’s farewell to the bushland or as the locals call them, “the Bundus’’ before moving out to Empangeni.  We pop in for lunch at Jack’s Corner Oceanview Restaurant. Allow your spirit to enjoy the fantastic views. Later take a drive through to the Nseleni Township where we experience the diverse Zulu culture. Break bread at a local’s home. Connect with the Locals Experience.

Day 6: Richards Bay – Esikhaweni - Ballito

 

We head out to the Dolphin Coast town, Ballito with hopes of catching some of the best snorkelling experiences South Africa has to offer with year round warm water, incredible fish and marine life in protected areas. The afternoon is at your leisure to visit the local spots and try out some of the diverse cuisines on offer.

Day 7: Ballito –Durban – Umhlanga Rocks

 

It’s off to Durban to visit The Valley of 1000 Hills with its intoxicating scenery, lush landscapes, and fresh air. We stop by for lunch on the waterfront. We later visit uShaka Marine, we get to see the Moses Mabhida Stadium and stop over at the Victoria Street Market. We visit the KwaMuhle.
